Reverend Arthur C. Jones, Jr. is the fifth child of the late Rev. Arthur C., Sr. and Mrs. Ethel Mae Jones; he is a graduate of Hiram W. Johnson Senior High School and served three years in the United States Army. Reverend Jones holds a Bachelor of Theology from Sacramento Theological Seminary. He is married to Angelia Jones and the father of Kazio Terrell Jones.
Rev. Jones accepted Jesus Christ into his life as a young boy and was baptized and became an active member of the New Hope Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Dr. A. Paul Jones Pastor. While at New Hope, he served in many positions: Director of many of the choirs, Junior Ushers, Assistant Youth Sunday School director, Song Leader and one of the original Christian Connection staff. In November 1988, Rev. Jones accepted the calling into the Gospel Ministry.
In 1990 Reverend Jones became the Youth Minister and Minister of Education at New Home Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Rogers. In 1998, Reverend Jones was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in a joint venture with New Home Baptist Missionary Church, Reverend John C. Rogers Pastor and the New Hope Baptist Church, Rev. Wendell Burnett, Pastor. Reverend Jones faithfully served at New Home Missionary Baptist Church for nine years. Pastor Jones has conducted workshops and has preached the Gospel for many churches and organizations.
In January 2001, Reverend Jones was recommended by Pastor John Rogers to serve as Interim Pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Redding, California. In August 2001, Reverend Jones accepted the calling to serve as Pastor and was installed October 2001 and faithfully served until February 2005. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit and Pastor Jones, Second Baptist Church has grown spiritually, numerically and financially. Reverend Jones has served as an Associate Pastor of the New St. Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of his brother Pastor Terrell F. Jones; Minister of Development at the St. James Holy Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Pastor Robert W. Lambert.
In January 2008, Reverend Jones was called to serve as the under-shepherd of the First Baptist Tabernacle Church.
Rev. Jones has served and serves in many Denominational and community positions.
